WE’RE NOT A GOOD FIT, IF…
WE ARE A GOOD FIT, IF…
You want to learn how to attack other people
You want to learn how to defend yourself, and have no desire to attack others.
You want a hard, combative style of martial arts (MMA, etc.)You want a softer, more fluid, yet still effective martial art.
You’re OK with the risk of more serious injuries (broken bones, blown out knees, etc.)
You’re more OK with the risk of less serious injuries (strains, sprains, etc.)
You prefer a competitive training environment and feel better in a win-lose setting.
You prefer a collaborative training environment that fosters a win-win mentality. You’d like to bring out the best in yourself, your training partners and your community.
You want to get your black belt in 2-3 years, and then may want to move on to get your black belt in a different martial art.
While you’d like to get your black belt, you’re OK if it takes 4-5 years, and you’re more concerned about your skill progress than your rank.  You're ready to dedicate yourself to the right martial art (for you) for many years.
You’re a superbly conditioned and talented athlete, and want a martial art that ONLY challenges and rewards the elite.
You’re not the world’s greatest athlete, maybe not an athlete at all.  You’re in OK shape.  You’re looking for a martial art that doesn’t require the greatest strength or flexibility to be effective.  And you’re hoping the martial art will help you get in better shape, get stronger, more flexible…but at your own, moderate pace.  And, if you are a super athlete, you want to train with people who can take you to your next level.
It’s more about the end result, the next rank, perfecting a technique and moving on.
It’s more about the progress, and mastery as process, not a destination.  You love and thrive in lifelong learning.
You enjoy proving how good you are, and maybe even how superior you are to others. You like and understand the need for proof.  And you’d like to develop the calm, quiet confidence that comes with knowing what you’re capable of…with no need to prove it to anyone else…unless you have to.

You prefer dominance when faced with conflict, sometimes crushing the spirit of the offender.

You prefer harmonious conflict resolution strategies.  While still standing strong for what you believe, you like to leave the other person with their dignity.

ARE WE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?
